Dog Breed: Havanese / Miniature Schnauzer / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 550. Lollie is as sweet as her name suggests — a gentle, adorable pup who just needs a little extra time and patience to feel safe in a new world. After losing her beloved owner, she found herself without family to take her in. Understandably, she’s been a bit unsure of new people and places, but once she begins to trust, her kind and loving nature shines through. What makes Lollie special: Super cute and sweet – a quiet companion with a big heart Mostly potty trained and uses a doggie door independently Starting to warm up to her male foster, but currently prefers women Hasn’t been around kids or cats, but does well in a calm environment Learning to trust and open up with time and patience Because of her timid nature, Lollie would thrive in a quieter home with adults or calm older kids, where she can take things at her own pace. She'd do best in a home with a confident canine companion to help show her the ropes. She isn’t comfortable walking on a leash in unfamiliar places yet (she “pancakes” from fear), so a securely fenced backyard would be a huge help as she builds confidence. Lollie doesn’t need much – just someone who understands that trust is earned, not rushed. With a gentle hand and a calm home, she will blossom into the loyal, loving companion she’s meant to be. Lollie is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 09/06/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 4:30 and 8pm. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
