Please be sure to contact shonnajenay1985gmail for more information. Meet Dolly, part of our sweet litter of 8 Shepherd mix puppies—4 boys and 4 girls—rescued from a difficult hoarding situation. They were born June 15, 2025 and are now 9 weeks old, each weighing just about 2 lbs. Their mama, a 10-year-old Shepherd mix, is finally spayed and safe, and now it’s her babies’ turn to find loving families. These pups are a beautiful mix of browns and fawns with the cutest little white toes. They’re playful, affectionate, and social butterflies—friendly with people, kids, other dogs, and even cats! What makes Dolly and her siblings special: --Extremely smart and eager to please - already learning sit, routines, and household boundaries --Crate trained and nearly potty trained --Obedient and picking up manners quickly, like staying out of the kitchen during mealtimes --Love toys, balls, water play, and even helping with yard chores --Very affectionate—belly rub fans who love being held belly-up! --Goofy, playful, and showing signs of independence and intelligence --Sleep in their kennels at night and know morning means breakfast & playtime! A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
