Dog Breed: Australian Terrier / Poodle (unknown type) / Mixed. Meet Cody! This adorable Doodle mix (likely an Australian Terrier/Poodle or TerriPoo) was originally purchased by a college student who quickly realized she didn’t have the time to properly care for him. She passed him along without much thought, thankfully, into the hands of a kind man who wanted to make sure Cody’s future was secure. He reached out to one of our volunteers, and now Cody is on the path to the loving home he deserves. Cody is young, fun, and full of love. He’s currently being fostered by our go-to trainer, Daniel (aka the ultimate foster dad). He’s done well living with other dogs and as an only dog, though he’d be best paired with a playful canine buddy. Like most young pups, Cody is active and enjoys daily walks, play, and engagement, but he’s not over-the-top high energy. He just loves being part of the action, whether it’s going on adventures, riding in the car, or making new friends wherever he goes. At home, Cody has excellent manners. He’s housetrained, settles well in his crate at night with a blanket draped over it, and Daniel uses the crate when he's away. Cody is making progress with his leash skills, but he may get tempted by the occasional squirrel or get excited to meet other dogs walking by. Like most Terriers, he can be vocal at times. It's part of the breed. Cody hasn’t had a lot of stability in his young life, so he’ll thrive with structure, consistency, and love. He’s a happy, affectionate boy who’s ready to bring joy and a little playful mischief into your home. We’re looking for a foster or adopter for Cody to bring him to town on 8/30.
