Dog Breed: Beagle (short coat). Adoption Fee: 300.. JOSEPH has some of the most magnificent ears we've ever seen on a beagle. They serve him well, he can hear the rustling of every treat bag, every cheese wrapper and every crumb that hits the floor. He's a medium energy boy who loves to soak up human attention and eat up all the treats. He's about 5 years old and 29 pounds. His red/chocolate coat is absolutely stunning. He enjoys running around a bit in the yard, but mostly likes to hang out indoors with people. He's a typical beagle, ruled by his nose. He's a wonderful companion who is best suited to a home where he will be an only dog. Joseph has a bit of a naughty streak and is not a good fit for a home with small children because he is an opportunistic food thief. He is a bit headstrong and needs a home with good leadership. Joseph is housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet Joseph, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Joseph at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
