Dog Breed: Beagle (short coat). Adoption Fee: 300.. JOSEPH is a stunning chocolate/red beagle who is a bit of a goofball. He's playful and silly and loves his people. Joseph is a typical beagle, ruled by his nose. He's an absolute fool for treats and just a little bit mischievous. He's a dog who needs good leadership. Joseph is around 5 years old and should be 29 pounds but is currently carrying around a few extra pounds. Joseph likes to soak up all of the attention he can get, and is best suited to a home where he will be an only dog. Joseph is housebroken and crate trained. He needs a home with a physically-fenced yard to keep him from following his beagle nose into trouble. If you'd like to meet Joseph, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Joseph at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
