DOB 6-4-20), 50 lbs., vetted, is or will be neutered and micro-chipped. very thin, sores, dragging chain, running in and out of traffic. Meet Skunk! This sweet, floppy-eared cutie is as gentle as they come. Skunk is tolerant, calm, and loves making new friends—especially if cheese is involved! He’s affectionate, easygoing, and always ready to brighten your day. If you're looking for a laid-back pup with a heart of gold (and a nose for snacks), Skunk is your pup! At the shelter, he was very sweet for his exam and very tolerant with loose body language. The ears........floppy and oh, so cute with expressions! Skunk is very outgoing, happy, good with other dogs (wants to play), has low to medium energy, and gives kisses! No cats please, they are too fun to chase! A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
