Dog Breed: Dachshund (short coat). Tate is a very cute boy who is currently with our rescue partner in Louisiana but he is hoping to come to NJ soon. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved adopters. Tate was found as a stray and somehow no one came to claim this cutie. He is a sweet, funny, affectionate boy. Tate is dog and cat friendly and has been good around older kids so far. He does not like birds. Tate is fixed, up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption.
