Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Dachshund / Mixed (short coat). Adobo is a pretty pup who is currently in foster in NJ. Adobo came to us from the NYC shelter system. Adobo was found as a stray and no one came to claim this sweetheart. She was very scared and overwhelmed at the shelter which landed her on the rescue only list. She came to us on 8/22 and took a little time to unwind in her foster home but she is slowly starting to show us her sweet, fun, lovely little heart. She is affectionate and loves to be by her foster mom. She listens well too. Adobo is dog and cat friendly. We are working on the housebreaking but I think that is more like a refresher after some time on the streets and at the shelter. Adobo is fixed, up to date on vaccines. She tested negative for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption.
