Dog Breed: Husky / Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). Mikhail is a sweet, young, husky mix who has an amazingly soft hair coat that is just begging to be pet! He arrived to a Texas shelter on 7/24/25 covered in fleas and not wanting to put any weight on his hind limbs. Mikhail then came to his foster home in NJ, and had surgery on his right hip (FHO) on 9/15/25. Surgery was a success! He has been healing great and now just needs to continue to gain muscle mass for the injured leg. According to his surgeon, there are no complications that will interfere with finding his perfect home. If you are looking for someone to snuggle or go on adventures with, he is your guy. He does not have the usual husky chattiness and is not high energy. He is happy to play and be social or just snuggle on a rainy day. He loves people of all ages, does well with dog of all sizes, and cats are also fun to snuggle with in the sunshine! Being a young dog, if left alone for too long, he will get bored and find his own adventure (watch your socks!). He would benefit from some obedience lessons and loves to learn new things!
