Description
Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Rat Terrier / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 450. Bitty was found as a stray in Highland, TX, abandoned with two other dogs. She was scared and had to be trapped, but once she settled into her TX foster home, her true wonderful personality came through. She’s five years old, weighs about ten pounds, and is FULLY committed to being a lap dog the rest of her life. Bitty is quiet, kennel-trained, and seems to be house trained. She’s a little shy at first, but warms up quickly and will spend hours curled up on your lap if you let her. She hasn’t lived with cats or kids, but would probably be fine with them, slow introductions are very important though. Around other dogs, Bitty can be playful, but she’s serious about food and will push others out of the way to get first dibs. Mealtimes go best with a little structure and feeding everyone separately. Bitty would do best in a home with another canine companion. She’s low-maintenance, affectionate, and happiest when she’s close to her person. Bitty is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 9/6/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 4:30pm and 8pm. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about this program.
