Dog Breed: American Bulldog / Mixed (medium coat). Gina is a gentle 3-year-old American Bulldog with a heart as big as her head. When she first arrived, she was a bit unsure, nervous around new people and hesitant with handling. But with time, patience, and (lots of) treats, she began to open up and show her true personality to our staff. Gina is a smart cookie who knows several commands and really tries her best to please. She’s not fully housetrained yet, but she does her best to hold it when she can. Her personality is best described as timid and sensitive. Loud noises and new people can still scare her, so she needs a calm, experienced home where she can feel safe and build trust at her own pace. Gina gets along well with other dogs and would benefit from a confident canine buddy. Interested adopters are encouraged to bring their dog in for a meet-and-greet. Unfortunately, we don’t have any information on how she does with cats. Her favorite thing in the world? Squeaky toys. Seriously. They light her up like nothing else. Because of her shy nature, Gina is looking for an experienced dog family—someone who understands nervous dogs and is willing to take things at her pace.
