Description
Dog Breed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois (short coat). A5716653 Beautiful Becky ✨ a 4-year-old, 55 lb Belgian Malinois with a heart as big as her ears. This sweet momma came in as a stray and carries a small scar on her right ear, but she hasn’t let that dim her spirit. Becky is eager to please, smart, and already knows her basics like “sit,” “stay,” and “down.” She has a medium-high energy level and loves the idea of adventures with her new people. While she can be strong on leash, she’s motivated and will quickly learn with guidance and structure. With a little decompression time, Becky will settle beautifully into a home where she can feel safe, loved, and part of the family she deserves. -4-year-old spayed female Belgian Malinois (55 lbs) -Sweet former momma with a scar on her right ear -Medium-high energy; loves adventure and activity -Knows “sit,” “stay,” and “down” -Pulls on leash but eager to learn and please -Needs decompression time and structure to thrive -Loyal, loving girl ready for her forever home BECKY’S VIDEO: youtube/shorts/16Q For more information, contact volunteer Lisa at lisaaunitedhopeforanimals Photo Credit sashaisfurreal Look up this or other animals at Baldwin Park Animal Care Center animalcare.lacounty.gov/view-our-animals/ Use their unique ID NUMBER. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
