Dog Breed: Redbone Coonhound / Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: TBA. Red is a gorgeous big-ish male that resembles a red bone with long fur...only a guess. He loves the humans he has come to know in the pound, as many videos incidcate but a couple of videos show he is tense with other dogs, HOWEVER, the kill pound atmosphere is also tense for many dogs. Also, testing them is just about impossible if they are fearful or have reasons to be more aggressive towards certain other dogs, such as only males, or if the other dogs react in an aggressive way. Another factor in testing them is when behind a fense or the gait in the pound, the dog that is inside will likely be aggressive towards a dog on the outside, as if to be protecting his/her territory, even when it is inside a pound. The ways of dogs has often gotten them misunderstood by humans because humans and dogs have different communication that humans, as we all know, do not always understand. Humans will put them in stressful situations or punish them in such a way that causes them to be worse, rather than behave. In Red's case, we do not know his history. All we know is that he seems to not like other dogs, according to the ACO and videos show him tense up. Anyone interested in him MUST be willing to get training for him and keep him away from other dogs until he has been trained to behave and obey owner commands.
