He is a healthy, intelligent, inquisitive, engaged, and super friendly classic example of a male Rottie. This handsome young dog wants to be by your side, LOVES playing, and is incredibly athletic. He is super friendly with everyone he meets, but is still learning some manners at times as he does not always remember how big he is. He is HIGHLY trainable, however, and already has many commands down. Kai is also very food motivated, and LOVES training sessions or just being mentally engaged. Kai's original family clearly loved and spoiled him, and he will make someone or family an amazing companion. He is good with other dogs, but does play fast and hard so he needs occasional verbal corrections due to his high energy play. Kai is fair on a leash, and only struggles at times because he is inquisitive about everybody and everything. He loves people and assumes they love him. He is good in the car, and sleeps well in a kennel or when he needs downtime. Kai is neutered, HW negative, microchipped, and up to date on all shots. He is only waiting for his forever home where he can love you as much as you will certainly love him. Being an energetic, strong boy, Kai needs a family who is energetic and can handle his size. Click here for more information Step 1: Please complete the adoption application in full; incomplete applications WILL NOT BE PROCESSED Step 2: Our Lead Adoption Coordinator will contact you and confirm your application has been received (please use our Contact Us form if you have not gotten a response within 7 days) . Step 3: After you have received confirmation from our Lead Adoption Coordinator, your application will then be forwarded to communicate with one of our Adoption Coordinators. The Adoption Coordinator is your point of contact during the adoption process. Step 4: Once the Adoption Coordinator has finished processing your application, a volunteer will be selected to contact you to schedule a home visit. Home visits allow us to see where the dog will live, discuss any questions you have and review our adoption contract. Step 5: Once the application process is completed, the adoption package goes to the board of directors for a 24 hour review.
