Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (medium coat). Hey there! My name is Tybalt but everyone calls me Chase! I am a handsome 50-pound Shepherd mix around 2 years old who is a true testament to the power of patience and positive experiences! I may start off a little reserved, preferring to observe new people and situations from a respectable distance rather than rushing in for immediate greetings. However, beneath that initial shyness lies a heart brimming with affection and a spirit ready to blossom. I wouldn’t come or approach my foster mom at first; she had to come to me, but now I try to be with her all the time. Once I feel safe and secure, my playful and loving personality shines through. I’m now thriving in doggy daycare a few times a week, where I enjoy social time with other canine companions and benefit from the structured environment and positive interactions with the staff. I’m already crate trained (if you can get me inside), but I prefer to be out and about all the time! I am also completely house-trained, demonstrating excellent manners in my foster home. I don’t even need a fence because I am not going anywhere without you. I get along well with my foster siblings, both dogs and even the cats! My foster mom also thinks that I would do well with kids even though I haven't met any before. I could be the only dog in the home because at the end of the day as long as I am loved, you could be enough for me. I love cuddling! I have one minor quirk which is needing a little extra help to get into the car if I go anywhere, and sometimes a short ride can lead to an upset tummy with some car sickness. However, with understanding and a calm approach, this can be managed. I’d rather just stay home with you all the time. I’m looking for a patient and loving home that understands the rewards of building trust at my own pace. I’d thrive with a family who appreciates a sensitive soul and is excited to see my confidence continue to flourish. Giving me all the treats and toys would be a plus! With my great house manners, my moderate energy level, my ability to coexist happily with other pets or by myself, and my learned social skills, I am ready to become a cherished member of my forever family.
