Description
Dog Breed: Poodle (unknown type) / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 620. Our “Miles Mayhem” came to us as a large 50 pound puppy at 6-7 months old from the Pet Resource Center, Hillsborough County Florida. He is listed as a probable Schnauzer doodle. Like many abandoned dogs, he had gotten fairly large fairly quickly, and had not been taught any manners!! Miles is now in his third week of training at Foster Dog Farms Canine Training with one more week to go. He is doing beautifully and has learned to stop his jumping. He has learned how to socialize better with other dogs, although he was pretty good to begin with, and his leash skills are now to the point that he’s going to start going to all of the local dog, friendly places. If you ever wanted a big old boy, but wanted some training to start with, Miles is your boy!! He will be ready for his forever home by next weekend and you can apply at 4luckydogs. #4luckydogsrescue #4luckydogspetrescue #luckydog #rescuedog #floridadog #floridadogrescue #floridadoglovers #floridadoglife #schnauzerdoodle #schnauzerdoodlemix #schnauzerdoodlelife #miles #mayhem #fdfcanineservices

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
