Rumi is a tall, petite beauty with a heart as big as her floppy ears. At just 8 months old, she’s already showing what a total gem she is...smart, affectionate, well-mannered, and full of love. Rumi is in perfect health and thriving in her foster home. She’s fully potty trained, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash (even the 8-year-old in her foster home can walk her with ease!). She’s an agile girl who loves to run and play in the fenced yard but is just as happy laying next to her people while they work from home. She’s a true velcro dog, always nearby, always watching, always ready to be your shadow. This sweet girl knows commands like “sit,” “down,” and “shake,” and has a great off-switch. She hasn’t chewed anything she shouldn’t and enjoys chewing on bones and puzzle toys that keep her mind busy. Rumi lives with three kids (ages 8, 12, and 15), a Doberman, a French Bulldog, and a Shichon—and she gets along with them all! She has also been introduced to a cat and would likely do well in a home with a dog-savvy feline. She plays respectfully, greets everyone with love, and will even pull up a seat at the dinner table just to be part of the action (don’t worry, she won’t steal your food!). Car rides? She loves them. Crates? Sleeps through the night without a peep. Energy? Just the right amount. Love to give? Endless. Our foster families are generally located within a 250 mile radius of Minneapolis, MN. All DRM dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, health checked, microchipped, 4DX tested, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
