Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Hello, my name is Rooster aka Krypto. If you don’t like to snuggle, then keep scrolling because I am an expert. I am a fast friend to all size dogs. I like to play hard with my big1 yr old puppy sister and I know how to be gentle with my grumpy old man dog brother. When they don’t feel like playing, I like to gather my toys and bones and chew away. I can usually be distracted by all of this with an opportunity to snuggle. I had a little rough start along the way so I don’t have many upper front teeth. However, the whole thing has left me with a quirky and adorable smile that you are sure to fall in love with. I am timid to start and like hide when people are walking quickly but I am learning to adjust. My adoption fee is $350 locally in Houston, TX and it includes all my age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter and microchip. Fill out an app at: toolkit.rescuegroups/of/f?c=SQYPSGVQ

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
