Description
Dog Breed: Australian Shepherd. Blue is a 1 1/2 year old Mini Australian Shepherd and weighs around 20 pounds. He has the typical Aussie shyness but has warmed up quickly to us and he has the best little temperament. He gets along great with dogs here big and small. He is house and crate trained and walks on a leash. He has been around young children with no issues. He has never been around cats so we can't attest to whether he is good or not with cats. Blue also likes toys and water but doesn't really care for car rides. He should do well with most active families with room for him to run. No matter the size, Aussies are an active breed. Blue is neutered, microchipped and current on shots, heartworm and flea prevention. If you are interested in visiting or adopting, please submit our application at Richardsonrescue. All visits require an appointment.

Breed overview

Australian Shepherd
Overview:
The Australian Shepherd is intelligent and very loyal to his owner. He's a working dog, though, so he does best when his owner gives him a job to do ' such as herding livestock.
