Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed. DOB: January 29th,2024 Gernman Sheperd mix She is very high drive and athletic. She would do best with an active family that does not have young children. She would excel in different types of sports like agility nose work barn hunting, etc.. She loves the water she loves jumping and chasing bugs. She has the rotti grumble and loves to talk. Her favorite thing to do is slide across the floor with her emotional support chocolate chip cookie. She loves ice, carrots, frozen fruit and lick’n matts. She also loves getting her shoulders scratched. Every time she comes out of her crate or wakes up from a nap she’ll come over and stretch in front of you asking for a shoulder scratch. There are days where all she wants to do is run forever and then there are other days where she just wants to curl up on your lap. Over the past few months she’s gone through a lot of changes so she is nervous around new people and dogs but as long as she’s introduced to them appropriately, she’s fine. She hasn’t shown any aggression towards children at all. I just don’t feel that being around small children would be a good idea with her level of energy and drive.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
