Ginny is a sweet, smart, and stunningly beautiful 20-week-old Great Pyrenees mix puppy. She currently weighs about 30 pounds—and is growing fast! She’s expected to be a large dog when fully grown and is already showing off her confident, loving personality. Ginny is playful and curious, thriving in her foster home as she explores the world, plays with toys, and learns her puppy manners. She knows how to sit, lie down and ring a bell to go outside. She is learning how to stay and heel. Ginny is 90% house trained. She has an occasional accident, especially if she is really excited. She loves being outdoors and would do best in a home with a fenced yard where she can roam and sniff to her heart’s content. She’s been around small and large dogs and holds her own just fine. She’s also interested in the household cat—she likes him and often sniffs and play-bows, but will chase when he doesn’t accept her playful advances. A dog-savvy cat is best. While Ginny enjoys cuddling, she has an independent side too. She wants to know where you are but is content on her own, across the room, laying and playing on the cooler hardwood floor. She is kennel trained and goes right in when her foster is gone from the home. At night she will sleep in or out of her crate on the floor downstairs coming up in the morning to wake her foster up to go outside and have her breakfast. Ginny loves everyone she meets. Kids really get her attention. Like any young puppy, she has sharp little teeth and will need lots of chew toys. She is learning her manners and her playingful nipping is almost nipped in the bud! She would do better in a home without babies and toddlers, but older children would be great. Ginny was patient and gentle with a 3.5 year old girl pulling her around on a leash. With adult supervision of course. Ginny is looking for her loving forever family. One who is ready for a large, loyal, and intelligent pup. With continued training, patience, and space to play, Ginny will make a wonderful lifelong companion!
