Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Est. DOB: 2/1/25 Current weight: 11lbs Meet Adeline. This little sweetheart already knows how to steal hearts. Adeline is the best cuddler ever—her snuggles will melt you instantly! She gets along great with all of the other dogs in her foster home and is cute as can be—just look at that face. Adeline is still working on being settled in a kennel, but improving every day Adeline is ready to bring endless love, joy, and cuddles to her forever family. Due to Adeline's young age, we are looking for a home where someone is home the majority of the day. Please consider making this adorable girl a member of your family. As we are a foster based rescue, we do require a completed application to be submitted before we arrange a meet. This can be found on our website at almosthomepetrescue/apply-now-1 $200 adoption fee includes core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, heart worm test (in dogs over 6 months of age), microchip and registration, spay/neuter, wormer and flea and heart worm prevention while the dog is in our care. All breed, age, and size categorizations are estimates. If transporting out of state to available locations, the total adoption cost will be $500. This amount is inclusive of adoption fee, transport fee, health certificate, and taxes.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
