Description
Dog Breed: Cattle Dog / Terrier / Mixed. A moment in time is captured in one picture. The memories of that moment can last a lifetime. Our girl Juno exudes memories in motion. She is one hundred percent love wrapped up in her 42-pound body. When this girl strikes a pose, people take notice. Get those cameras ready for a photo shoot of photo shoots. Juno is a cattle dog mix at around two and a half years of age. She is sure to pull on your heart strings. Juno has been through turmoil in her life to which she was neglected to the point of weighing half her body weight. She loves being social so much that she will take it one step further and go right into cuddle mode because she loves to cuddle. She is not looking back but rather forward in her endeavors to find the ideal family for her. She will need a family that will provide lots of support, regular exercise and loads of social situations. She is much too eager with curiosity to engage a cat into a friendship so she would need a home that does not have a cat. She acclimates into house living quite comfortably and is well behaved and relaxed. Juno has a calm and loving disposition, and she is described as a medium energy and is always up for a 3-4 mile walk or a play session with a stuffed toy or bone. She loves the outdoors and being in the fresh air. Juno enjoys going for walks, romping around the yard or just lying in the sun. She has excellent house manners and can do some tricks. Juno is impressive with her gentle and well-behaved manners. Juno is one smart cookie. She checks off boxes with her learned skills of house and crate training. Juno rests comfortably in the crate at night or while her foster family is out of the house. She is mostly leash trained but will pull when she sees small animals so she will need a bit more time to practice for that to be checked off her list. Although Juno is house trained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Now that you have heard about her awesome personality, her sweet disposition and her love of people, do not waste another minute to get the chance to take Juno home. She is future memories in the making so get ready for a full social calendar with Juno as your next family member. * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Juno is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us. If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
