Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Creed! Creed is a happy, active mixed-breed pup who arrived at the shelter on 8/29 and has been winning hearts ever since. He loves spending time in the yard, playing in the water, and socializing with both people and other dogs. He recently enjoyed a weekend on our Snout & About program, where he had the chance to show off his personality outside the shelterâand he did not disappoint! What Creedâs Foster SharedDuring his weekend outing, Creed stayed with a foster who gave us wonderful insight into his personality: He met dogs and children and was eager to play with everyone. He loves toys, chew bones, swimming, walks, and of courseâbelly rubs. Heâs smart and food-motivated, even offering a perfect âsitâ when asked. He gets excited in the car and is a wiggly, happy passenger. He wants to stay close to his people and enjoys being by your side. Leash & Training Notes The foster shared that Creed still needs some leash practice, as he tends to pullâespecially when he sees other dogs he wants to greet. With routine and positive reinforcement, heâll continue to improve. He is not fully potty trained yet, but the foster reported that he responded quickly to praise and treats. After a couple of early accidents, he started doing all his business outside with no further issues. Personality Creed is a protective, sensitive, playful, and very loving dog. Heâs social, active, and thrives with engagement and structure. He would do best in a home ready to keep him busy, help him continue his training, and give him plenty of affection. Creed is a wonderful, happy dog looking for a family who will love him as much as heâll love them. If youâre searching for a loyal adventure buddy with a big heart, Creed may be the perfect match!

Originating from designer breed efforts to combine the intelligence of the German Shepherd with the Labrador's friendly disposition, these dogs typically boast a medium to large build with a dense, weather-resistant coat that can range in color. Physically, they often exhibit the Shepherd’s strong bone structure and the Lab’s kind eyes. Temperamentally, Shepradors are generally intelligent, loyal, and trainable, making them excellent companions for active families. They thrive on human interaction and do best in homes with a yard, as their energy levels make apartment living challenging without significant daily exercise. While generally healthy, potential health considerations include hip and elbow dysplasia, common to both parent breeds, and eye conditions. Early socialization and consistent training are key to fostering a well-adjusted Sheprador.
