We’re just starting to get to know Lyra, but here’s what we’ve learned so far: this sweet girl is full of love, joy, and puppy playfulness. She adores toys, gets along great with other dogs, and would love a canine friend who matches her playful energy. Lyra is working on her manners and will need a family dedicated to continuing her training. She’s a quick learner who thrives on enrichment and activity, so she’ll do best with an active home that can keep her busy and engaged. After she gets her energy out, Lyra loves to relax and cuddle on the couch—she’s a total snuggle bug! She’s making great progress with potty training, going to the door when she needs out and staying accident-free as long as she’s supervised. Lyra also sleeps through the night in her kennel. She can be a little vocal when first settling in, so we recommend a home with no shared walls (no apartments or townhomes). She has done well being left crated for up to five hours, and a frozen Kong helps keep her happy and distracted while you’re away. Like any puppy, she still loves to chew, so plenty of toys and watchful eyes will help her succeed. Lyra is wonderful with kids, but since she doesn’t quite know her size yet, a home with older or sturdier children would be the best fit.
