Description
Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). If you are looking for a petite Shepherd then Sheeba is for you! This beautiful girl is under 50lbs and is about 4 years old. Sheeba can be possessive over her people and her things. She will do best as the only dog in the home. Sheeba is very sweet & loving. She loves to lay next to you on the couch. She will follow her person around & hang in the same room with them. She knows some commands but will not always perform them. She walks nicely on a leash. She loves playing in the yard so a fenced in yard is required. Sheeba would be the perfect girl for a single person who doesn’t have a lot of visitors! :) Sheeba does love car rides but she needs to be restrained or put in a crate otherwise she will end up on your lap while you are driving. If interested in Sheeba please complete an application. She is located in boarding in WPB.

Overview:
The German Shepherd Dog, a truly iconic breed, originated in Germany in the late 19th century, primarily for herding sheep. They are easily recognizable by their athletic, medium-to-large build, typically weighing between 50-90 pounds, with a distinct double coat that can be black and tan, sable, or solid black. Known for their intelligence and loyalty, German Shepherds possess a remarkably trainable and courageous temperament, making them exceptional working dogs in fields like police and service work. While generally good with families when properly socialized, their high energy levels and need for mental stimulation make them unsuitable for apartment living without significant daily exercise. Prospective owners should be aware of common health concerns such as hip and elbow dysplasia, as well as degenerative myelopathy, underscoring the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary care.
