Description

Dog Breed: Maltese / Poodle (Miniature) (medium coat). Goliath is a white Maltipoo puppy with black markings. He has a unique cottony-soft coat that we joke makes him look more like a little lamb than a Maltipoo. He was born in a breeding situation, so he hasn’t had a lot of human interaction until now. However, he is extremely social and loves to interact with humans every chance he gets. He is doing a great job of helping his siblings learn that humans are pretty great. Indoors, Sterling sleeps with his two siblings in a crate. Once crated, he sleeps quietly through the night. He also doesn’t bark much at all throughout the day. All three of them do keep the crate clean if kept in it for less than a few hours, but overnight is still a little long for them. During the day, the puppies alternate between a pen indoors, a larger pen outdoors, a crate (if we need to leave the house for a couple hours), and in the evenings they get free run of 2-3 rooms indoors. They love the variety and do very well in all situations. We make sure there are very regular outdoor visits, but they are still a long ways from being fully housetrained. We recommend potty training using a small crate and an outdoor area consistently. We have begun leash training. Goliath is learning very quickly and loves taking short leashed walks. Goliath hasn’t met kids yet, but we feel he would love them. He’s such a happy, sociable little guy, and doesn’t seem fearful at all. He has met cats (with no notable reaction) and really enjoys other dogs. He loves to play with other dogs, so he would do great in a home with other pets. I feel a variety of settings would work well for Goliath – from big yards to apartment homes, one human or an entire family! If you are looking for a sweet, soft cuddlebug who will learn quickly, you’ve got to meet Goliath! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
