Dog Breed: Poodle (Standard) (long coat). Adoption Fee: $599. Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Ultimately, with the right love and patience, Reese would thrive in just about any environment. She’s not looking for perfection—just a family who will give her the time, understanding, and compassion she needs to feel safe and loved. And a furry companion to curl up with in the sunshine! Reese has a few specific criteria in her forever home. First, she must have a canine friend. Dogs are all she's ever known. They are her comfort and her guide. It's non-negotiable. Second, you must have experience with dogs. Reese is on a journey to learning what it means to be a pet. She's never had the chance before and needs a family with the patience and experience to teach her. Meet Reese – The Sweetheart Who Just Needs a Chance. Reese’s story almost went a very different direction. She was originally intended to be used for breeding, but life had other plans—and we couldn’t be happier for her. Now, this gentle soul is ready for a new chapter filled with love, comfort, and the security she’s never truly known. Reese is a total love bug at heart. Once she feels safe, all she wants is your companionship and affection. She’s incredibly sweet and loyal, but it’s important to understand that Reese needs a little time to warm up. With patience and kindness, you’ll see her blossom into the most loving companion you could ever hope for. One thing Reese is absolutely sure about - She LOVES other dogs. She thrives in their company, finds confidence in their presence, and truly needs another friendly dog in her forever home to help guide her. A canine buddy will not only keep her happy but will help her continue to learn and feel secure in this new life. She absolutely requires a friend in her new home. She has never lived without one. Reese is still learning what it means to live indoors as a cherished pet. House manners are a work in progress, and walking on a leash can feel scary for her at times—but she’s trying, and every day she shows us just how smart and willing she is. She has already made tremendous progress, and we know she is a smart girl willing and ready to learn. With gentle guidance, she’s going to catch on beautifully. If you have an open heart, a calm approach, and a friendly pup who’s ready to show her the ropes, Reese is ready to love you forever. How do I act when I first meet new people? Reese is timid with humans. She's curious about us, but still trying to figure out why we are so nice. Your canine though - she will be thrilled to meet them. Give her some time and she'll think you are pretty cool too! Other tips and tidbits: Reese's breeder stated she is 3 years old. We have no original paperwork to validate this, but her overall condition supports this age estimate. We celebrate her birthday 08/17/2022. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.
