Description
Dog Breed: Poodle (unknown type) / Mixed (medium coat). Coco is a sweet, funny boy. He is a 5 year old doodle mix who loves to play and loves his squeaky toys. He is potty trained, house trained, and kennel trained. He prefers to sleep with his people but we think he would be fine in his kennel at night. During the day while we are at work he does well in his kennel and while at home he enjoys taking naps in his kennel as well. Coco loves going on walks and does well on the leash. He isn't a big fan of cats, squirrels, or birds. If you are looking for a companion to give lots of pets and love to, Coco is your guy! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $625.00

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
