Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler (medium coat). Meet Bluey! Bluey is a smart and sweet Blue Heeler pup who is ready to find his forever home! This handsome boy is estimated to have been born around May 2024 and was rescued from the side of the road on August 30, 2025. As soon as he saw kindness, he hopped right into the car like he knew he was safe but no one surfaced to reclaim him. At just 33lbs, Bluey is still a young boy, but he already knows how to sit and has shown how eager he is to learn. He is: ✅ Great with children ✅ Housebroken & crate trained ✅ Friendly, playful, and very loyal Bluey loves being around people and will be tested with other dogs this week. He is current on vaccines, heartworm/Lyme/anaplasmosis/erlichiosis tested (all negative) and will be neutered and microchipped next week. He’s a healthy, happy boy with no medical concerns. This lovable pup is looking for a family that can give him the attention, training, and love he deserves. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics.
