Description

Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). Blaze is a shy but super sweet German Shepherd who thrives on love, scratches, and attention. Give him the right pets and he'll lean right into you like a pro. This handsome boy is easy to walk, affectionate, and has that perfect mix of goofy and loyal. On his recent field trip, Blaze was a total star! Calm in the car (he just needs a little boost to hop in), polite in stores, and downright sweet to everyone he met. He even heeled beautifully through busy areas and showed off just how well-mannered he can be. Blaze loves fetch and having space to run, especially on a long lead where his playful side really shines. He has a classic shepherd prey drive for squirrels and is afraid of bikes, but he's smart, eager, and responds well to guidance. When meeting new dogs, Blaze is respectful, more on the submissive side, and takes corrections like a champ. He doesn't guard food or toys with people or dogs, and he's already practicing crate time during meals. He does have a little separation anxiety, so continued crate training will help. This boy is such a quick learner! At home, Blaze is loyal and protective, happy to alert you if strangers are near, but he warms up beautifully to new people after some patience. Once comfortable, he's all affection, cuddles, and that silly, playful energy that makes him such a joy to be around. Because Blaze can sometimes get oversimulated when excited, we recommend a home with older, dog-savvy kids who can respect his space and help him continue building confidence. Blaze is looking for an active home with daily walks, outdoor adventures, and plenty of playtime. With his sweet nature and balanced energy, he's ready to blaze his way into your heart. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
