Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat). Meet Mucho Grande! This little guy came to us from Manhattan ACC after being labeled New Hope Only. Found as a stray, his fearful behavior in the shelter almost cost him his life. But we knew he wasn’t “bad”—he was just scared. Thanks to rescue, his story didn’t end there. Mucho Grande is a small mixed breed, just over 2 years old and about 13 lbs. He’s currently settling into his foster home in Binghamton, learning at his own pace that he’s safe and loved. While he was too fearful in the shelter to be fully assessed, we now know that he does well with cats and dogs his size. He’s not a fan of kids, so a home with children 12+ would be best. This sweet boy is searching for a patient foster or forever family who can give him the time and security he needs to continue to blossom. All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary. Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies. Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada.
