Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Dachshund / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 550. Knox is the perfect size, a sturdy little guy who’s just the right mix of compact and strong. He came to us as a stray and, despite his unknown start, has proven to be an easygoing and happy pup. He’s a smart boy with some funny quirks, like jumping up into a second-story kennel because he’s figured out that’s where the dogs get fed first. He’s clever, observant, and always looking for the next routine to master. Knox was in fairly good condition when he arrived into his Texas foster hom. He’s healthy, heartworm negative, and ready for his new beginning. Overall, Knox is a simple, sweet dog who doesn’t come with many challenges. With a bit of basic training and a family to love him, he’ll be an easy fit and a wonderful companion. Knox is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 9/20/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
