Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (short coat). Meet Blanche! Blanche is a 14-week-old bundle of sweetness weighing in at just 7 pounds. We think she may be a heeler mix, and she’s already showing the smarts and playful spirit her breed is known for. This little girl has been through a lot in her short life but is now thriving in rehab and ready for a forever home. She’s curious, affectionate, and loves discovering the world around her. Blanche enjoys cuddle time just as much as playtime and will happily soak up all the love you can give. Blanche will do best with a family who can continue her training, help her grow with confidence, and give her the happy life she deserves. With her gentle personality and puppy charm, she’s sure to steal your heart! If you’re ready for a sweet companion who will grow into a loyal best friend, Blanche is waiting for you. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
