Dog Breed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois / German Shepherd Dog / Mixed. My name is Kira and my mom says I am a firecracker full of energy. I’m a curious girl and from the minute I wake up I’m ready to go. I really like long walks and exploring but don’t care too much about sniffing things. I am super smart and love working for treats or food. I know sit, and down, I’m learning to walk on a leash in a heel and mom says I have to learn place. I have agility stuff in my yard and boy can I jump! I like to jump up and let you know I’m there- although I’m learning that’s not ok. I’m learning to go through the poles but the tunnel scares me a little. I have some fur siblings and we get along although sometimes I try to push them around and mom has to tell me to stop. I like my stuffies and if I have something to chew I’m happy for a little bit. I do like to be busy! I’m not too sure about the cats so mom keeps the door closed so I can’t investigate on my own. I haven’t tried to chase anything in the yard so far. I love bones and bully sticks and Kongs. I don’t mind sharing most of the time since I go collect them from the toy bin and bring them to my spot. I like checking the counters too for snacks but I’m learning that’s not ok. I do ok in my crate after meals ( so I can gain some weight and absorb my nutrients!) and all night (10p-6a). I only have had potty accidents when I don’t go outside and do my business before I play with my friends otherwise I’m pretty good at being house trained. My perfect home would be active or with a human who likes dog sports and training. Older kids are ok, not sure about cats or other small animals. I am ok with other confident dogs I live with both male and female fur siblings now and they are okay even though I prefer the humans. *********************************************** To apply to adopt, please fill out the application by clicking on the Adopt button or ask for this dog to be added to your existing application. If you are within 4 hours of the pet, please be prepared to pick the pet up. We do provide transport assistance up to 350 miles. The applicant must drive the remainder of the distance of the transport.
