Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed. *Name: Howard *Age: approx DOB 7/5/25 *Current Weight: 10-11 lbs *Adoption fee: $550 (plus $150 spay/neuter deposit, see below for more information) These heeler mix pups are 100% fun, playful, and full of energy. With their stunning markings and bright personalities, they’re as smart as they are adorable. True to their breed, these pups will grow into active dogs who will love adventure, playtime, and plenty of mental stimulation. They’ve been raised with love, are great with other dogs and kids, and are looking for families who are ready for all the fun (and snuggles!) that come with puppyhood. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving best friend who’s out of this world, one of these Big Bang babies might just be your perfect match! IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
