Dog Breed: Pug / Chihuahua / Mixed. Meet Beefy 1 year old • Male Chihuahua Mix • 18 lbs Hello there! I'm Beefy. I came to Utah in late August from a hoarding house in Wendover. There's next to nothing out there to help guys like us, but I got lucky and a second chance to be a real dog. I've adjusted pretty quickly with the help of my foster brothers. I like sharing a bed with the oldest one, so if you've got another dog that I can keep company, I'd be all about it! I'm learning to be ok with my humans being gone. Initially, I'm a bit squeaky when they leave, but I settle down pretty quickly and I'll sleep most of the day away. I'm still a little skittish when it comes to being outside in busy environments, but I'm curious and eager to explore the world. I'm mostly housebroken, I'm still getting used to the flow of my person's schedule and knowing when and where to go, and I'm going to be cast iron soon. Given my isolated beginnings, I don't trust small children, and I haven't been around cats at my foster home. I was in a house full of animals in my first year of life, so I'd probably be ok with cats. I'm low energy in the house, my favorite thing is a round bed, and someone to snuggle with. Once I feel comfortable outside, I'm an explorer and I can't wait to frolic with my new friends. Are you ready to give me a new lease on life? Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
