Description
Dog Breed: West Highland White Terrier Westie / Mixed. Meet Chevy! I don’t know whatever heck I went through, but all that matters is I’m here thanks to Lucky Pup Rescue! My foster mom tells me all the time that I’m PERFECTLY IMPERFECT! My wonderful vet says I most likely have a neuro issue that was either from the trauma or just happened because I am a little older (don’t tell anyone)! Nothing to be concerned about and doesn’t require any medications. I love to stand like a walrus, wobble/run around the yard (yes, I have a funny gait) sometimes I face plant, oops! And I love to be with my humans, mainly my foster mom, I love to be her shadow. I love all my fur siblings too! I am not one to give kisses, but I love to go for car rides and I’ll be your best friend and most loyal partner for as long as I am able. He is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for his age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Chevy is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT CHEVY!! .LuckyPupRescueSC The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
