NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 9/9/2025: Little Joey - male - DOB 3/31/2024 - 12.2 pounds - Shih Tzu Reason for intake: We were notified by a few people about Little Joey and that his mommy passed away. She'd been sick for some time. It was clear she was dearly loved as so many people reached out to us about Little Joey. Relatives live out of town and when the coroner arrived at the home, they found Little Joey. Protocol is to contact animal control. Bossier City Animal Control arrived that evening to pick him up. We contacted BCAC, as we do partner with them... and they let us know they did have him. We picked him up the following day. His little world has been turned upside down, but we will help him with the transition. Prayers go out to the family of his sweet mommy who took really good care of her little boy. NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption.
