Description
Dog Breed: Poodle (unknown type) / Mixed. Adoption Fee: $400. My adoption fee is $400 which includes my 1st 2 distemper vaccines (adopter covers 3rd & 4th), rabies vaccine at 16 weeks of age at Shoreline Vet Hospital and spayed/neutered and microchipped at approximately 5-8 months old, if not already done. “Zoomies, squeaks, and snuggles — Iris has it all!” Shy little love bug who wants all your attention. Had a rough start (accidental contact with fly bait) but her labs came back normal & she’s doing great! ✂️ Scheduled to be spayed Tuesday — then she’s ready for her forever home. Not fully vaccinated yet, so no outdoor potty training, but she keeps her crate nice & clean! Lives with 7 dogs & 1 cat — loves the little dogs, not scared of the big ones, and thinks the cat is “meh.” Obsessed with squeaky toys, zoomies, and being absolutely hilarious when she runs around the house. ️ Crate pro at night — only whines for a minute, then sleeps through. Favorite pastime? Cuddling in your lap and soaking up love. ✨ Adopt Iris — because the best blooms are full of love and zoomies!

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
