Dog Breed: Basset Hound / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Charlie, like many senior dogs, can be a grump. He does not like his sleep being interrupted and has days where he just wants to be left alone on the couch to get his naps in! Charlie is an attention lover, he will always be up for scratches and snuggles! He loves resting his head on you or just fully sitting in your lap. Charlie loves going for walks but does pull a lot, so a harness would suit him best. Charlie is fully potty trained and does very good being left alone at home, free roaming or in a kennel. He gets along with other dogs very well and occasionally gets the zoomies and jumps in for playtime. He also does well with kids if they are able to understand his boundaries. Charlie would do best in a home that’s a little quieter but also lets him be included in activities so he can let his occasional energy bursts out.Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, dental, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
