If you're into snuggles, silly antics, happy snorts, joyful zoomies, and epic kisses—then Rue might just be your perfect match. We’ve only had Rue in our care for a couple of weeks, but she’s already settling in beautifully with her foster family. Her foster dads say she’s quickly picked up the household routine—meals, walks, bedtime—and she’s claimed her favorite snuggle spot on the couch (because, of course she has). Once she got comfortable, Rue's personality really began to shine. In just one week, we’ve learned: She gives legendary kisses. She loves rolling through dewy grass—bonus points if the lawn’s just been sprinkled! She’s a master splooter. Those short little legs? Adorable. She’s a tug-of-war champ—whether it’s a ball, a stuffy, or your attention, she’s all in for play. She is a certified Ball Girl. She takes her emotional support ball everywhere—including delicately placing it in the water bowl before taking a drink. She doesn’t mind being carried and is always up for an adventure. Car rides? Count her in! She’s the perfect co-pilot. Rue gets along well with her canine foster siblings and brings joy wherever she goes. With proper introductions, we believe she’d do well with another dog in the home—but she’d also be totally content as your one-and-only cuddle buddy. We’re just beginning to learn more about Rue, and she’ll soon be starting positive reinforcement training with Behrens K9 Services to help her continue to thrive.
