She was a stray before making her way to a shelter New Mexico and then joining Rescue Rovers. Despite her rough past, Ru has so much love and affection for people and is waiting for her special home. This beautiful dachshund mix is a lover at heart but does take some time to trust new doggy friends. Ru would do best in a home where she is an only dog or owner has experience with dogs that need slow introductions and time to build trust with another dog in the home. She is looking for a home with a strong leader who can teach her some manners and help socialize her. A home with adults only or dog savvy teens would be best.
