Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. I acquired the pet from a shelter in Mexico. She is a pit bull terrier mix but is super sweet to people. She has never bitten anyone or animal before. She is around 4 years old and has a good amount of energy. She is very calm and just wants to lay on the couch after a good walk but is also eager for adventure. She is able to go on medium sized hikes and is eager to sniff everything around her to explore. She doesn't require a lot of attention and is already house broken/potty trained. She loves meeting new people and will try her hardest to lick them. She is good with other cats and dogs except when she is on a leash. She currently lives with another cat and it took some training to get them to spend time together. The reason I am re-homing her is that I had to end my last relationship and we are both not in the place to properly care for Dulli. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
