Shadow earned his name for a reason—he’s the ultimate companion, always by your side no matter where you go. Whether you're heading to the park, relaxing at home, or simply moving from room to room, Shadow follows with unwavering devotion and a heart full of love. Playful, affectionate, and attention-loving, Shadow thrives on human connection. He’s about 90% potty trained and has had very few indoor accidents. Highly treat-motivated and eager to please, he’s one of the most responsive and quick-learning pups you’ll ever meet. His happiest moments are spent with his family, soaking up every bit of togetherness. Shadow enjoys curling up in a plush dog bed or lounging on the couch, and he keeps himself entertained with treats and chew bones. He absolutely adores his morning and afternoon walks—perfect for exploring and taking care of business. Family outings to the park, lake, or anywhere new are his favorite adventures, especially when they end in cuddle time. He’s fantastic with toddlers, kids, and other dogs, making him a wonderful addition to any family. He especially loves accompanying my 5-year-old to school—it’s clear they share a special bond. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
