Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Boxer / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 450. Hi, I’m Brisket. Yes, like the meat. And yes, I’d absolutely love to taste-test yours if you happen to be cooking some. I’m a handsome hunk of dog with the best wrinkly forehead, perky ears, and muscles that would put most gym bros to shame. I need some exercise to keep up this physique, but don’t worry, I’m also a pro-level snuggler when the workout is done. Toys? I love them all. Squeaky, plush, bouncy, chewy, if it fits in my mouth, it’s a win. Sticks are my specialty though. I like to think of myself as a yard cleanup crew, except I work for belly rubs instead of money. I’m kennel trained (I don’t complain in there at all), but honestly, I’d much rather be snoozing next to you on the couch. I get along with other dogs, and my foster home has cats too. Cats are new to me so my foster family is taking it slow. So far I just sniff them and leave them be. Food is my love language. Treats? Say the word, and I’ll do just about anything. Make me an actual brisket and you’ll unlock “favorite human” status for life. I’ve got some good manners already, like sit and recall, but I do sometimes get very excited and forget that not everyone loves a 4-legged hug. I’m working on it! I’m also perfecting my leash-walking skills (translation: I’m strong and sometimes like to test my foster mom’s biceps). I like kids, I like dogs, I like people, and I don’t mind cats (so far)… basically, I just like life. I was stuck in a shelter for almost two months and a stray before that, so potty training outside is still a work in progress, but I’m catching on quick. So, if you’re looking for a toy-loving, brisket-appreciating, stick-collecting, muscle-bound snugglebug… I’m your guy. Brisket is from a local impound.
