Description
Dog Breed: Terrier. Best Friend Pet Adoption is helping to find a new home for BUDDY. Please contact his current owner chriswest1980yahoo or at 919–971–7920. to get additional information about this wonderful, cute dog. Buddy is a lovable, happy-go-lucky pup who’s ready to bring joy to his forever family! At a little over 5 years old, he has the best of both worlds: playful energy for adventures and the maturity to know how to settle down at home. House & Crate Trained Buddy is completely housebroken—his family says he’s never had an accident indoors. He’s also crate trained and goes in happily on command, sometimes even putting himself to bed. He sleeps soundly through the night and considers his crate a safe, cozy spot. A Social Butterfly Buddy has never met a stranger! He loves every person he meets, including children, and greets other dogs with a big tail wag and playful spirit. He’s even done well around cats—curious and friendly, but respectful. If you already have pets, Buddy will fit right in. Walk-Ready & Adventurous This boy is leash-trained and used to daily walks, which also double as his potty breaks. He’d do great in an apartment setting as long as he gets his walks, but if you have a yard for him to run and play in, he’ll think he’s hit the jackpot! ⚡ Energy Level Buddy has a moderate energy level. He loves to play and would enjoy an active home, but he’s not bouncing off the walls. After exercise and playtime, he’s happy to relax and hang out with his people. ‍‍ Home Life Buddy could be the star of the show as an only dog or thrive with a canine buddy to play with. He’s content while his humans are at work, though he’ll be overjoyed when you return. ✨ The Perfect Match Buddy is looking for a loving family who will include him in their daily lives. Whether you live in an apartment or a home with a big yard, Buddy will thrive with people who give him attention, exercise, and affection. He’s up to date on vaccines, on heartworm prevention, and ready to meet his forever family. Could Buddy be the loyal, fun, and affectionate companion you’ve been looking for? Come meet him—you’ll fall in love instantly! DISCLAIMER: We hope you'll consider adopting BUDDY. BUDDY is a courtesy listed dog. This means that he is not a part of or associated with Best Friend Pet Adoption (BFPA). The bio information listed for him was provided by his owner and not generated or verified by BFPA. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
