Description
Dog Breed: Cattle Dog / Mixed. Meet Nox – Your Playful, Loyal Sidekick! Nox is a fun-loving, energetic boy who’s ready to bring joy and adventure to his forever family. This handsome pup has a big heart, a playful spirit, and a true love for both food and toys. He’s currently working on his basic manners—learning cues like sit, down, and place—and is making great progress with his leash-walking skills. Though he can be a little unsure at times, Nox is gaining confidence every day. With a patient, encouraging family, he’ll continue to blossom into the amazing companion he’s meant to be. Whether it’s chasing toys, going for walks, or curling up for cuddle time, Nox is always ready to share his love and enthusiasm. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and playful best friend, Nox just might be the one for you! Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
