Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed. Hello! I’m Dodger, an adorable German Shepherd puppy weighing just 8 pounds. I’ve had a rough start, being dumped on the streets, but a good bath, nutritious food, and lots of love have put me on the path to finding my forever home! After being dewormed, I’ve shed some pesky worms that were holding me back from gaining weight, and I’m already feeling much better! I’m one of three puppies in my litter, and I get along great with my sweet littermate, Zarah, and our brother, who will soon have a name! I’m currently enjoying life in my foster home in Sacramento, where I’m showered with love and cuddles from the youngest resident female shepherd and our amazing foster mom. My littermate whom I was sharing my foster home caught a flight with Pilots and Paws to his foster home in San Jose on Sunday afternoon after the adoption event at Pet Food Express. And we had a blast playing and getting loved. I'm heading to San Jose to be part of ShepHeroes adoption booth at Bark in the Park SJ on September 20th, my people say we should be there between 10 am and 5 pm. Please stop by to say hello and give us some snuggles! Our humans will happily share information about efforts to help at-risk shepherds and how you can lend a hand too. I spend my days playing, napping, and learning from the two resident shepherds, who are teaching me about boundaries and personal space—important lessons for a little guy like me. I’m a huge fan of toys and love to have fun, but I also cherish my cuddle time. I'm working on potty training and have developed a predictable schedule, even using the doggie door when reminded to potty. I sleep soundly through the night, dreaming of all the adventures we’ll share together. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and affectionate companion, I might just be the perfect pup for you.
