Dog Breed: English Bulldog / Mixed (medium coat). Watch out, world, Mojo is coming through! This goofy, bubbly hunk of love is the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter's newest, most-eligible bachelor. He has been in our care once before at the end of 2024, and is back looking for his `final rose.` Despite his short stature, this gentleman needs reminders to keep his paws on the floor and save the face kisses for his date. Mojo waddles when he walks, snorts when he talks, and bounds through life with enjoyment. In his first adoptive home, he has some experience living with young children, birds, and a cat, doing well with all of the aforementioned. Mojo is a 5 year-old, neutered English Bulldog Mix. His particular conformation has given him some unique care needs, such as tending to his corkscrew tail and monitoring his outward-facing feet. The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is now offering “Pawsitivity Bucks” with every dog adoption. This $200 training voucher is a way for newly adopted canines and their guardians to connect with local positive reinforcement based behavior consultants and get their relationship started off on the right paw! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
