Name: Candice Best Guess for Breed: Lab mix Best Guess for Age: 4 months as of October 2025 SEX: Female Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!): 24.8 lbs as of 10/19/25 Gets Along With: Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training. Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special Adoption Considerations: Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy. Candice is Looking For: Well, hello! I'm Candice! My brother, Clyde, already found his very own forever home but I know mine is out there! Maybe it's even your home!! On my puppy wish list is lots of time to play and snuggle. Oh, and treats! I love treats! When I'm a little older, I'd love the chance to explore my new neighborhood and make lots of doggie friends to play with! What My Foster Says About Me: Candice is a sweet sweet girl. She loves to play with her humans and dog friends. She is teething right now and loves to chew on bones and toys. She just started walking on the leash and is doing very well. She lives with another older dog now and she follows her lead. Candice always tries to play with the resident dog but when that dog doesn't want to play, Candice gets the message and backs down. When other dogs bark at her, she just looks and watches them. She doesn't bark back. She has a very sweet personality. She sleeps through the night (most of the time) in her crate and is also left in it when no one is home. She loves to cuddle up with you on the bed or couch after she is done playing and will chill with you. She is food motivated and learns very quickly. Candice is just an all around really great affectionate dog. She would be a great addition to any home! Puppy Vetting Requirements: Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog. Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!
